Usually, whenever you hear anyone say that they just don’t like most vegetables and won’t even try certain ones again, you can bet that somewhere along the line (usually in childhood) someone made them eat their veggies in an overcooked, mushy state, devoid of any life because it was steamed away.

No wonder so many kids and later adults hate vegetables. Sure steaming is easy but not very flavorful unless drench with sauce – which we now know is terribly unhealthy.

Sauté, roasting or grilling vegetables is easy too. Each vegetable’s unique flavor is concentrated so they don’t need much else – a drizzle of good quality oil, a bit of seasoning, maybe a sprinkling of fresh herbs, and that’s it. Truly “natural” flavors that are wildly nutritious – what more could one want from their vegetables?
